Painting - Oil On Canvas
Description
A road leading to farms in hill country in the fall. This oil painting of a lonely two track in the rural area of the Midwest is painted in late afternoon light. The sunlight is casting shadows across the path and highlighting the birch trees on the left. A single young maple tree is at the center of the painting in its autumn colors. You can see the hint of a broken down fence in the bushes beyond the maple tree. Red roofed houses on both sides of the Americana scene add depth and color to the farm scene. The distant hills beckon the viewer and make it easy to imagine stepping into the painting and following the pathway. After all it is a nice day and what is beyond those hills? This painting is protected by copy right.

This is wonderfully Idyllic, Lee; love the splashes of red in this lovely country scene :))
Lee Piper replied:
Thanks Connie. I had a teacher years ago that said every painting should have some red in it. I guess that was on my mind when I did this one.

Amazing painting! Beautiful! Love the focal point of the tree and the details of the land and homes around.

a lovely view right between the trees and the third house on the left right around the bend just out of sight, that's where I want to go L/F
