Katie At Bass Harbor Maine
Artist

Medium
Painting - Oil On Canvas
Description
My daughter Katie sitting in front of the Bass Harbor Country Store in Bass Harbor Maine. This is a painting of an old country store in the town of Bass Harbor Maine. The store entrance is open with a screen door keeping the bugs out. If you look closely you can see the face of a todler looking through the screen at the girl. The girl, my daughter, is sitting in front on the step in the sun. This is a place she returned to for many summers during her childhood. You can see lots of nicknacks for sale in the two bay windows. Baskets, wooden buoyes etc. The store looks dark inside and the sunlight shinning in the windows highlights the merchandise. On both sides of the steps are flowers. The weathered sideing and the old sign above let the viewer know that this might be an old building. This painting is protected by copyright.
