Description
This oil painting is an early morning scene of a light house on the east coast of Maine. The foreground is a rocky shore with ocean waves breaking against large granite boulders. Sea roses are in bloom along the road leading to the lighthouse. A fence is following the road on the left side between the drive and the cliff going to the water. On the right side of the two track is a lawn with wild flowers growing and a path leading to the front door of the light keepers house. The house is brick and the roof is red, the chimney has smoke coming out of it. The light tower is high on a cliff over looking the ocean. It's light is on. Behind the house are blue green pine trees. In the distant horizon is an island silhouetted by the sunlight. Dramatic clouds reflecting the suns red and yellow light finish off the scene. This painting is protected by copyright.
