Artist's Description

This oil painting of a cowboy having roped a cow and is now in real trouble! The foreground is sundrenched with bright yellow prairie grass and the sun is shinning on the outhouse in the center of the painting. The background is of dense woods and dark shade to frame the cowboy in his white shirt on the roof. In the middle distance is the calf looking on. In the far distance is a shady field with the saddleless horse caring little about what has just happened. The scene is finished off with a purple hill and a blue summer sky. After roping the cow by the horns and fastening the rope around the saddle horn the synch on his saddle has busted. Well, he has climbed up on an old outhouse to get away from the mad cow who is defending her baby. Off in the distant field you can see his horse grazing without a care in the world. Lucky for the cowboy its a nice day and he's got his cigarettes. He could be up there for a while. A cowboy's days can be lonely and this is a time when a friend could...

About Lee Piper

Lee Piper

I have been an oil painter my entire life. Many of the paintings that I do are sentimental rural settings. I also like to paint landmarks and paintings that tell a story like "Surprise Visit". My paintings have won first place in a lot of competitions and many times have been sold that way. To me there is no more satisfying experience than to complete a painting and be happy with the outcome. The next best thing is to have someone buy it! I hope you enjoy looking at my paintings and I welcome your comments. I will personalize a print once you have kept it for the duration of the 30 days. You must pay the shipping to and from me. Our return policy is very simple: If you're not happy for any reason, you can return it to us within 30...
