Description
An old brick farm house with a barn and other out buildings is the subject for this oil painting. In the foreground is a shady lane with a fence and a mail box being highlighted with late afternoon sun. The unseen trees on the right are casting shadows on the well manicured lawn that leads up to the kitchen porch. The two story brick federal is painted off white and standing proud against a soft summer sky. A large shade tree is over hanging the back side of the house while small evergreen shrubs line the foundation of the front of the house. The sunlit lane proceeds on down the hill to the distant barns and sheds that make up the working part of this farm. A single tall silo hovers over the barn. Small groves of trees can be seen on the distant hilltops. Puffy billowing clouds climb miles into a blue summer sky. A few birds can be seen soaring over the barn yard. It looks like the farmer's work is done for now. Time for some lemonade. This painting is protected by copyright
