Description
A sunset with an ocean wave breaking between two large rocks. The foreground is a sandy beach with some small rocks and pebbles highlighted by the last of the days sunlight. The water line from the previous wave is starting to recede. The sun is reflecting in the wet sand. The scene is framed by very large rocks that are wet and shiny from the suns light. The wave is breaking to the left and you can see light coming through it. Beyond the wave is a deep blue sea with the suns reflection being broken by swells in the ocean. Some of the clouds are on fire from the evening light but most are dark, giving contrast to the bright sky beyond them. Sea birds can be seen off in the distance on the right side of the oil painting. A storm has just past and its going to be a calm night. This painting is protected by copyright.

Lee, your captivating treatment of the setting sun (fresh yolk in my mind's eye) and the translucent folding wave (egg white) suggest a gigantic 'Western Omelet' painted at water's edge... the technique is prodigious!
