A winter getaway is a wonderful thing. No lawn to mow. No phone to answer, no computers, no television. Just a good book and a warm fire and a wood stove for cooking. Clear skies that show stars that you didn't know existed. Quite nights that allow you to notice sounds you've only heard in the movies. Owls, coyotes, night hawks, deer and mice. A winter night in the deep woods is a great way to rediscover nature and yourself.

I have been an oil painter my entire life. Many of the paintings that I do are sentimental rural settings. I also like to paint landmarks and paintings that tell a story like "Surprise Visit". My paintings have won first place in a lot of competitions and many times have been sold that way.
