A produce stand at a country farm being stocked with fall harvest. Pumpkins, cider, fresh apples are all for sale to the passerby. The "cash box" was usually left out on the counter of the roadside stand. And it is up to the purchaser to leave the amount and make his or her own change. This honor system is still in place in many rural communities around the American countryside. The John Deere tractor, the Cattle barn and the milk house are all an important part of this working farm.
I have been an oil painter my entire life. Many of the paintings that I do are sentimental rural settings. I also like to paint landmarks and paintings that tell a story like "Surprise Visit". My paintings have won first place in a lot of competitions and many times have been sold that way. To me there is no more satisfying experience than to complete a painting and be happy with the outcome. The next best thing is to have someone buy it!
