Artist's Description
A desert storm is moving in and about to dump a lot of rain into this valley between Phoenix and Tucson Arizona. Weather in the southwest is great to watch and paint. I love distant and panoramic views, and so often the Arizona skies offer this up. My first experience in Arizona was a trip in February when it rained so much that flowers were coming up that drew scientists from all over to study them . Many of these had never been seen before. Death valley was in bloom that year. On the drive from Phoenix to Tucson views like this are fairly common.

I have been an oil painter my entire life. Many of the paintings that I do are sentimental rural settings. I also like to paint landmarks and paintings that tell a story like "Surprise Visit". My paintings have won first place in a lot of competitions and many times have been sold that way.
